ClaimIndex For Law Firms

For Law Firms

Correct the record. Submit documented outcomes. Manage your listing. Placement is never for sale — a claimed profile is a channel for evidence, not a paid badge.

Ground rules

What a listing can and cannot do

If you are looking for a way to buy page-one placement, stop here. If you have dockets, fee schedules, and bar records that the public file is missing, keep going.

You can

Document, correct, update

Claim an existing profile, add licensed states, submit verdicts and settlements with a public citation, and flag factual errors in response time or fees.

You cannot

Buy a better score

Advertising spend, sponsored content, and “preferred partner” packages do not exist here. Unverified marketing claims are discarded on arrival.

Process

How access works

01

Request access

A partner or general counsel confirms they are authorized to speak for the firm. We match the request to an existing listing or open a review file.

02

Verify identity

We check a work email against bar and firm records. Personal Gmail from an associate is not enough. This is a prototype form — production would add MFA.

03

Submit evidence

Verdicts, settlements, fee schedules, and licensed-state lists need a docket ID, date, and jurisdiction. We score what we can verify.

04

Monthly refresh

Accepted data lands in the next score run. A submission in week three of the month does not rewrite last month’s table overnight.

Claim Your Profile

Confirm you are authorized to represent the firm. We’ll match you to an existing listing or open a review file. Access is not a ranking boost.

Data Submissions

Send verdicts, settlements, and fee schedules with documentation. Marketing language without a public record is discarded.

Evidence we accept

What belongs in a data file

We severity-adjust recoveries so a high volume of minor auto files cannot outrank catastrophic-injury work. That only works if the submission is complete.

Required

Public or producible record

Court docket, reported verdict, or a redacted closing statement we can match to a public filing. “Client confidential, trust us” is not a source.

Required

Date, venue, injury class

Month and year, court or claim venue, and enough injury detail to place the file on a severity band. Amounts without context are parked.

Ignored

Awards, TV spots, “millions recovered”

Lifetime billboard totals, Super Lawyers, and Avvo numbers do not enter the score. Neither do paid directory listings.

Questions from firms

If we claim a profile, do we move up?

No. Claiming confirms a contact and opens a channel for evidence. The six pillar weights stay the same. A better documented file can change a score; a login cannot.

Can we use ClaimIndex in advertising?

Not as a paid endorsement and not as implied State Bar approval. State advertising rules are strict. See the disclaimer.

How fast are corrections published?

Factual errors (wrong fee, wrong licensed states) are queued for the next monthly refresh. New outcomes follow the same cadence unless the public record is already in the file.

What if we are not listed?

Absence is not a finding that the firm is illegitimate. This edition is a prototype with a limited, fictional dataset. Request access and we will open a review file when real-firm scoring is live.

Read the weights before you submit.
